Parking Prohibited (2010)

 

Programmed by Hatch Arts, Parking Prohibited featured the work of seven emerging artists that took inspiration from Gateshead's famous Trinity Centre, aka the 'Get Carter' car park.  The show featured a diverse range of work exploring this iconic landmark building's striking aesthetic and brutalist design, including three digital paintings by John and a joint readymade piece by John and Karen. 

Parking Prohibited was shown at The Biscuit Factory,16 Stoddart Street, Newcastle upon Tyne from 23 January - 7 March 2010
